ask away..they probably will give you an inflated number.

Know the trade in value..that'* most likely the most they got it for. No need to ask them. Go in with the info.

don't be over zealous...they know they have you then. Be willing to walk away if they don't come to your number. It'* a bonneville...to most..that'* not really a "desired" car.

Yeah, I agree with Bill, I paid seven grand for my Bonne, she had 75k on her and I was an idiot and I really wanted her. Don't regret it at all.

Plus, don't worry about other people buying that Bonne, I doubt they will. Just talk and try to get them down.

HEY, bring a classified ad with pics of Bonnes in there, and just "casually" set it in front of them and if they don't come down to your price range. You just say, okay fine, that'* alright, there'* another dealership down the road with a (year) Bonne, I'm sure they're more willing, have a good day fellas.

Lemme put it this way. My 97 cost me $3,300... I looked it over..called the guy..he was asking $3,900 which even with the mileage was low. I made the offer and waited a couple days..waited a little longer..called back and he was prepping the car for me to pick it up.

Had to toss about $300 into it quick and don't regret any of it.

please look at my other thread "haggling with dealers"...I figured all of this is turning this thread off topic.
