Morty, holy cow man, Bill just called me and told me about this....thank god you walked away. I'm glad to hear you came out of this just fine, forget the car....

All I can say is get a good lawyer, and sue the sh*t out of that guy and his insurance company.

I'm not that kind of person. I wasn't harmed personally. I'd like to see the money come back to me for my car and I'm going to approach it that way, but I won't contribute to one of the primary reasons this world is so fucked up by suing the **** out of anyone when I don't need to do it.

Morty...Not sure I understand the "screw the law" part of your sig. Please clarify before people get the wrong impression.

Still glad you are kicking.

On the sueing part I agree. With an exception. The big difference is the guy was driving drunk. Dude what if you had a family in your car? I know you didnt and your right our country is sue happy. I was a insurance agent at one time. ( not a thief ) You should be able to claim the car and physical damage, due to the drunk driver with no questions asked. Example 20/40/15 is the basic coverage. SO if this person had that they should have around 75,000 to work out between you and the other people he hit. Ive seen insurance companies send checks, ( big checks) just to " settle" up a claim so someone won't file later. Its crazy. Then there are those ones you see on TV. The " so called tuff smart lawyers" who Ive seen really screw things up.

Main thing is your ok and you walked away. Im thankful for that for you. God bless you.
Wow on the car. It protected you !!!

Morty, I hate to be the bearer of further bad tidings, but that transmission is suspect at this point. Considering what your car just went through, I'd be surprised if there wasn't damage.

Wording looks good now bud.

I am happy to say I drive a bonneville. Looking at this and others I've seen on here like LittleHoov'* and Cheetah'*. It'* simply amazing how well these cars take a beating and hold the cabin integrity.
