Is this a GM transmission tailshaft?
So I bought a '92 Ford Taurus that I can fix and drive in the meantime while I do work to my '77 Olds Delta 88, and rolling around in the trunk of said ford appears to be a tail shaft for F/E body 4L60'*.. At least that'* all the google search comes up with. Part number on it is 24209021-11
If this turns out to be what I think it is, is it worth anything? Anyone want it? I don't have a use for it, it'* not even heavy enough to use as a doorstop.

Only reference I get to that part# is a German Corvette parts site. So, it does look like it belongs to GM. But judging from the grinding done on it, its been welded. I wouldn't trust it as far as I could throw it.
Take it to the scrap yard. Aluminum prices are pretty high right now.
