Actually Wal-Mart used to sell them, but no longer. Can't remember where I found mine last time -- AutoZone has the most common ones like PF47 for a few bucks, but Wal-Mart had the better price. Still looking to see if any other big discount outlet has them; might check Meijer tonight...

Funny you should mention that. Lee Auto stopped selling AC Delco filters a few months ago, too. They still sell the bigger-ticket AC Delco items like oxygen sensors, alternators and so on, but not filters. When the counter guy told me this I looked at him like he was out of his mind, but he just shrugged and said, "We're all telling the management they're crazy, but this is what they did." I said he'd lost my oil-change business as a result (and with three cars I'm always changing the oil on something), and he said he'd be happy to pass on the news to his managers. He also said I was just one of many who had told him that.

I'll still go there for repair parts and such, but it'* just stupid for them to cut off a low but steady source of income for themselves like that.

I think Fleet Farm sells Delco filters in MN and WI. I'll find out for sure once it get'* a bit warmer. 24 hours in 15 below weather, and the car, she don't wanna start. Good part is, the dark color will warm her up some if/when the sun ever comes out.
