Default Fuel injector pattern.

Took my fuel rail off along with the injectors.(part of another project I'm doing)

Made a home brew pump, connected a 12V supply and tested each injector. How come the injectors spray 4 streams of fuel instead of like a fine mist spray or something? Wouldn't the fine spray mix with the air better than a stream of fluid?

Probably not enough fuel pressure...

Definitely the fuel pressure and the injectors are only open for milliseconds at a time.

Agree with 95na. You're hitting the injector with constant 12vdc. Normally, the injectors are pulsed with a PWM signal. (PCM switches injector ground in & out at high frequency)
