Well, I do have full coverage. And it might be worth it to see the face of the insurance adjuster when I tell them I think the button lights caused the inferno. Might have a nice suit against Pontiac actually, I might suffer through a second-degree burn for a nice settlement.

Well, these are minature incandescent lamps that we're talking about. I think the odds are slim to none that this condition would cause a fire. Just my .02. The current that is carried by this illumination circuit is very low. However, to get things right, I'd look into re-lamping. I've never messed with the steering wheel lamps, but I would imagine it requires micro surgery & a steady hand to relamp the steering wheel. Prolly need a shot & a beer for starters.

Yeah, a bottle of Coors is a must for most anything i've found.
