Default Final engine Topic

OK well, After now talking to a Pontiac mechanic at GM, he now informed me it is common for these cars to search for a gear under certain cases and it will feel Like a hesitation... He said it was a common problem he has soon for people not used to the Bonnevilles Electronic transmission....I did a lot of work yesterday 2 my work, and had a tranny shop run a computer scan on it and drive it, as well as a local mechanic... The tranny place and the dealership told me the same thing.. Any1 else ever heard this?

I don't get it with you. Just what part of the newer cars are using electronic transmissions do you not understand. If you don't like the feel of the electronics fine, but what makes you think Oldsmobile will be any different. Sounds to me you need a 70'* era vehicle. :?

You really DON'T GET IT do you?!!! Pontiac is a division of GM. Oldsmobile is a Division of GM. Therefore Pontiac, and Oldsmobile SHARE PARTS! A lot of olds cars either use the 3.8 WITH the same tranny your Bonneville has, OR they usually have the 3.1 V6. (doesn't even compare to the 3.8.) You think the Bonneville and pontiac in general is bad just because you don't understand how they work. Hell, I'd buy the car. It'* like saying your TV at home is a peice of junk, just because you can't figure out how to use it.
