Default Exhaust Installation Price?

I would like a local guy to do my exhaust setup (weld, magnaflow cat and muffler) and he quoted me today roughly 4 hours of work at $55 an hour.....is that too high? would a real exhaust shop be a lot cheaper? How do some of you compare to this?

For $220 that seems very fair IMO. I don't know from experience with exhaust shops myself, but it seems like a good price.

I had a shop put on my resonator, muffler & tips with bending and welding of new pipe from the cat back for 200 bucks.

Dropped her off at 10am and had her back about 7pm that night, made sure she was on fumes going to the shop too

I bought a res at the shop and had them put it on and a muffler for $100. Prices are subjective to many things.

I had a flowmaster muffler (80 series) welded on, 1 hanger, and 1 outlet pipe installed for $120 or so. I then later had a resonator put on for $50 (part+labor).

it seems alittle high to me. i have to buddies that work at tuffy so i just do my own stuff there but if you go to a place like that where they work on commision it wont take 4 hours so it would be cheaper

Honestly to much, you only have one outlet from your stock manifolds. And not to mention the exhaust tunnel only being large enough for one. If you want duals best bet is to get a muffler which has dual outlets and have a shop install that would be much cheaper.
