How on all the pontiac commercials for the compg, gxp and gto they never mention Bonneville? It'* always Grand PRix Comp G, GXP and GTO.

its because they have all the sales they need for bonnevilles.. so they don't need to advertise like the gp, gto and stuff. I think the only car that'* being phased out is the aurora

I think it is discrimination. Or else they are too lazy to say "Bonneville".

Too many syllables.
But, yes, I do agree it is a discriminatory thing for them to do. They should know that although the GP has a good following the Bonneville has a better return rate.

I agree with Jim W and Rogue:
I purchased my second Bonneville back in April and it was an interesting adventure. First there is a lack of Bonneville’* at any Pontiac dealership. Try to find a dealership with more than two in stock. Second I always figured that your dealership could call over to a dealership that has one and they would send it on over. Wrong again. If a dealership has one they are holding on to it until sold. As a result I had to buy it at a dealership that I would not normally go to. I ask you is this any way to run car company? GM must think it is otherwise it would make it easier to do business with the dealer you would rather purchase a car from.

The Bonneville is nice but GM policies pretty much are in the toilet.

I could have ordered the car but the car I bought already had all of the options I wanted and it was my first color choice.

commercails are usually pointed towards a youner crowd; Showing a bonneville in an advertisment is probably considered as waste. Anyway, bonnevilles can sell without ads, think about it; all these grand prix/am and other pontiac ads the bonneville get'* unexpected attention when going to the dealership. Someone might be looking for something else and sees the bonnie and tries it out just to be curious. Pontiac knows full well what they are doing, actually I think it'* brilliant not showing the bonnie as much as the others, that way maybe 2 or 3 bonnies will stick out a little more than rows and rows of other well know pontiacs. At our dealership here in town the Bonnevilles (about 6) are right at the frontline, besides those six cars their are about 7 other rows of 16 to 20 other pontiacs.

Another note I'd like to add, new bonnevilles are expensive and a lot of people know about the bonneville like us they're usaully driving pre-00 ones though, so my guess is for some or most a 00+ bonnie will be the next step so, thiers no need to advertise new ones cause the older ones pave the way for newer sells; Most of you see like hundreds of 92-99'* day to day most of those peoples next purchase is going to be another bonnie! Again, the bonnie sells itself without any advertisment.

Pontiac doesn't really need to advertise the Bonneville though. People buying the Grand Prix/AM want a sporty car that will impress all their friends and eat Civics for breakfast, not becuase its a practical car. People looking at Bonnevilles are probably more informed and are looking for a practical family/daily driver. The Bonnie is one of the few, if only cars that falls midrange between Chevy Impala and Caddy STS. Their slogan from 199? actually does fit. "Luxury that kicks ***." Combined with Bonneville'* history of being a decent car with good reliability and overall pretty good bang for the buck, it practically sells itself. With how bad the Impala is doing, I wouldn't be suprised if they dumped Impala, but if they dumped Bonneville, my next car will be a Ford.
