Default Engine Cleaner

I recently bought some Gunk'* Engine Brite in hopes of cleaning up my engine. Reading the other posts though it sounds pretty bad if you get some of the electrical parts wet. What parts do I need to make sure are covered before I start spraying this stuff on and where are these parts located? Should I spray on the undersides of the engine as well (ground up)? Also, can I spray this stuff on everything else without worrying about it eating through anything important (plastic, aluminum, etc)?

Thanks!

Can I spray the stuff over the battery too? (covering the metal nodes) The others I think I will just cover with some plastic bags. Where abouts would the alternator and module be located in relation to the engine?

Well the GM Engine Shampoo (P/N 99287 is the best I've found, plus you can spray EVERYTHING with worry too!

Are you going to sell this "shampo0" on your site?
Or where can I get it from?
