dumb passenger side back door still won't open

this back door does not open no matter what, me and my dad removed the panel and tried to open it by reaching inside the door and messin around with the latch, still a no go...any ideas?

is the linkage moving and not actuating the latch?
or is the linkage immobile?

I had the same problems on mine for both back doors, what happend was the latch inside the door was down a bit ( as if you had the handle pulled a bit) so when to doors were locked and it got stuck that way, the door wouldn't unlock and allow you to open it. This may or not help you.
