The shop i know that did i my pre purchase inspection thought it was burnt out, when i was reading my manual i found out otherwise. I guess you can't waste your battery out that way...

For the 2000+

HZ in the VIN is SSEi or SLE
HX is SE

I dont think there is an SSE option.

Not sure for your year....

I am not sure if this is true but in my opinion the SLE'* for 2000+ are the SSE'*. Pontiac actually dropped the SSE. I figured it would be the other way around.

They actually dropped it earlier, i know Smellbirds is an SLE, and his is a 98..

Dropped what? The SLE'* are still around. The SSE are dropped in the line-up as of 2000+. II was saying that the SLE'* are the SSE in my opinion.

They actually dropped the SSE earlier then that, and yes it was officially replaced by the SLE. Guess people got confused.

What, in 99? THats as early as I can think of because one of my members has a 99 SSE now. What * the earliest your talking about?

Well i konw they had SLE as a trim level in 98 cause thats what smellbird has, if not earlier.
