It took you guys that long to notice that?

I noticed it when I first got the car THREE years ago. didn't say anything because I figured it was interchangable since it'* spelled that way too in the owner'* manual

"Gauge" vs. "Gage": Generally speaking, a "gauge" is measuring device that has a needle or other indicator, a "gage" does not, e.g. pin gages, feeler gages, check fixtures, etc.

According to The Columbia Guide to Standard American English, " ...Gage is a variant of gauge, but apparently in dwindling use..."
So a Gauge has a needle or indicator, A gage I guess would be like a digital device...like the AeroForce gage, or the little display screen that shows if a door is open or a lamp is out...

When that light comes on its telling you to look at the display screen? lol

Yeah, I always found that odd..

My 90 Sunbird said "Check Gauges" I always was like, WHO GOUGED ME NOW?

My 89 doesn't have that light, and my 93 says GAGES Both the same brand of car...3 years apart..wtf. depends on the plant it was made maybe? lol
