Disabling headlight flash on unlock
I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue, and it has a remote lock/unlock fob. When I lock/unlock it, the tail lights/headlights flash once. The problem with this is, I have HIDs in the front now, so the flashing will kill them pretty quickly. Is there a way to program your car to not do this?
I really don't want to unlock it with a key every time.

OK, I found some weirdness but not as I expected. The parking brake made no difference. Car lights blink and horn honks once when you hit lock, and the lights blink 3 times upon unlock. With parking brake on or off. What I didn't expect was the FOB won't unlock the car if it is pressed from inside the locked car. How it knows that is so, I haven't a clue. Also,.... when you unlock the car manually from inside the car after it is locked with the FOB, the lights and horn blink and honk until you put the key into the ignition.

if it has the driver info center chances are you can change it from there. on my car you can also choose if the seat and mirrors move when you hit unlock, and what windows are locked when you lock the windows. i think its called parking lights or something of the sort.
I think thats because the drls on the grand am is the headlights. Pulling up the e-brake will disable the drl, and i guess that includes the flash on the grand am. I'm not sure what bulbs are used in the intrigue and bonnevilles..probably part of the turn signal like the century/regal.
