Drive the Regal for a week and you may not give it up. That'* what happened to me. It glides in and out of tight areas where my big Bonnie doesn't like to move. Has the same aftermarket as a GP (suspension, tires, upgrades galore) and overall I don't miss the AL7 seat quite as much as I thought I would.
BTW.. Living w/o HUD isn't an option. Takes me about two hours to install it.
Do you have experience adding these? I have added both in the past multiple times, both are easy... heated take more time and effort though.
I've tossed HUD'* in 5 Regals (soon to be 7) in the past two years, ask away if you have further questions. I nearly have the 8 wires it takes memorized.

Overall I find the gauges to be a lot more accurate (W'* were redesigned in 97, H'* in 00) and overall they like all cars have their issues. Most of them are common to the 00+ H'*. like window regulators and wheel hubs.

Heated seats can be added easy. Hud, not so mch
