To clarify... I'm asking for pushrods for a 93 SSEi that are 3/8" outer diameter, and possibly 8.00" long?

Forget the 3/8" diameter and 8" (I'm actually MUCH bigger). Just tell him the application and see what he comes up with.

if he works for a gm dealership, just get the part number and run it as well to be easy.

After market pushrods can be much better than 'vintage' stock.

Material, diameter, length, oil hole diameter and solid vs welded ends all make up the difference.

Stock pushrods are junk.

Just curious, but can't you just attain these pushrods from some place like Advance, Checker, AutoZone? I was under that impression.
