I saw that one on ebay... If it wasn't a rag top I might have bid. It had like 20k for miles! Man it was even an SLE!

I saw a 2002 SLE badged Designer Edition on ebay... Is this aftermarket or did Pontiac sell a designer edition? For 2002?

Hans is right. Cloth tops makes all modern cars look horrible and "deflowered" (saw that on tv) Yes in the 60'* was when the cloth tops looked right but now they're hideous, however it does lead one to wonder what a Bonneville would look like if it was a true four door convertible like the Lincoln Contiental?

Now that would be cool as a designer edition.

That'* a Lumina luggage rack.

And Pontiac has not produced ANY odd editions of Bonneville. Other than LE, SE, SLE, SSE, SSEi, or GXP.

PERIOD. No question. These are cheap aftermarket kits made to sound cooler and better than they are.

Deal with the rust under a cloth covered hardtop if you want to, but I won't.

Thas kind of like the one I saw. The mini rear window looked more stock than the one in that pic. It had some gold trim on it too. No luggage rack.

And a late respose to an earlier question...it wasn't a convertable...just a cloth top.

That was a limited PORTION of the 97 model year. Production numbers for it are in Techinfo. It consisted of a "Y40" RPO code, C-pillar badges, and floormats. Nothing else.
