Naw, that'* where you put it when you want to Race. They didn't put reverse in these things. j/k Yeah, reverse is right where you see it. Goes back to that standardization thing - I guess having a standard for some things is a good idea, but I still like the chief head bright indicator.

Thanks for the "Good Ol' Days" I remember that Hi-Beam Indicator well. So well in fact that I had to use my left foot to turn it On/Off with the foot switch in the upper left corner of the floor well in my '61 Star Chief. Mine also had a green Cold Water Indicator Lamp that came on when the engine was....well..... cold. Today, my VW New Beetle has a Blue cold water indicator just to warn you not engage the Turbo while the engine is cold.

I'll have to check, but I think Hannah'* car has that "cold" light too - don't think it'* workin' though. Ya don't find that switch on the floor any more, do ya? That old car has some class. No plastic on it either, I think the dash alone weighs more than my CRX. CRX might even fit in the trunk!

OK...drag me along for the ride....
What does it take to
1) Open Cluster
2) Take out the sheet for lights

I'm new to these cars, and till I get my manuals, scan tool, and other goodies for my b-day, I'm flying blind on these cars. But I'm pretty sure I know what I'd do once I got the light sheet out of the dash.

Default I agree

Yeah, that is sweet. I do kinda wish cars were more personal and unique from the factory. Thats why I like the Bonneville. Eventhough it shares the same platform with other GM models, it still retains a very unique appearance and attitude.
