Default Coolant replacement

I've read about the issues with Dex-Cool. Can I replace my coolant with the green stuff or do I need to use a Dex-Cool equivalent?

Thanks.

I recommend you flush the Dex and replace it with "mixes with any color or type" coolant. Prestone markets this in a yellow bottle as an extended life coolant. The color of the coolant is greenish yellow. $8.60/gallon today at Wal Mart. Even if you don't flush the Dex, you can use the "mixes with any" to top up the Dex with no problems, except you still have Dex in there. Best to get rid of the Dex.
