well, i stole a thermometer from school today and on the way home i decided to crank the A/C and stick it down one of the vents. well imagine my supprise when i pulled it out and saw it reading 7 degrees celsius (roughly 45 degrees F for us US people). now my question is, is that abnormally cold, or just normal?
That'* not as cold as the Saturn gets...
...but the '96 Saturn was rated the best as far as a/c. This last summer when it got 115* it was still cold inside that car!! I was thoroughly impressed.
Correct A/C temperature using R-12 and Max recirc A/C at 80 degrees F should be 36-43 degrees F. Higher outside temperatures and R-134a should be slightly higher, but not much (maybe 40-45 degrees F)
Who needs AC this time of year when the temperature here is only in the 20'* and at night it'* already been below 0. I think i'll wait until next summer to see if my AC gets that cold.
