Cold A/C

well, i stole a thermometer from school today and on the way home i decided to crank the A/C and stick it down one of the vents. well imagine my supprise when i pulled it out and saw it reading 7 degrees celsius (roughly 45 degrees F for us US people). now my question is, is that abnormally cold, or just normal?

Thats colder than most will get. I think the coldest mine ever got was about 53 degrees farenheit.

bet that's nice in the summer. when we checked the a/c on the 87 bonnie we used to have, it used to get that cold, till the a/c went out.

That's not as cold as the Saturn gets... ...but the '96 Saturn was rated the best as far as a/c. This last summer when it got 115* it was still cold inside that car!! I was thoroughly impressed.

Correct A/C temperature using R-12 and Max recirc A/C at 80 degrees F should be 36-43 degrees F. Higher outside temperatures and R-134a should be slightly higher, but not much (maybe 40-45 degrees F)

Your all Lucky, My A/C Doesn't work, hole in a line  My dads an HVAC so I will have that fixed soon, and for free.

Who needs AC this time of year when the temperature here is only in the 20's and at night it's already been below 0. I think i'll wait until next summer to see if my AC gets that cold.

Running on Auto causes the AC compressor to work....which removes humidity from the inside of the car, allowing the windows to defog. Comes in handy in the winter.

When I hit the defrost the AC indicator light comes on...for some reason...now I know why

duh...shoulda known that

I prefer my knobs thank you very much ;)

Do those R134a recharge kits they sell at places like target etc actually work?
