LOL!, reading thru thats in itself was confusing. Not sure it was all answered even. The mode button toggles the vent options. i.e. floor, middle vents, both. This feature has no option for distinguishing driver and passenger. It does both simultaneously. Same with fan control. Only the temperature is 'dual control" I don't care for the dual feature in auto mode. My wife turns up the heat on her side, and I get the cold air blowing on me at the same mode/fan setting she selects. Grrrrrrrrrr.

I see! Annoying.

Btw, Purple pointed me to the manuals' PDFs here. Now I feel extremely dumb. Yes, the Dual'* in that PDF. But it'* also in my Manual. I had just looked at the Index, turned to the page(*) and when it seemed to come to an end I didn't look at the next page!
