Default car has sat for a year, what do i look out for?

hey everyone

my 92 SE is coming out of retirement. needless to say im totally hyped about it.

She has been sitting since June 06. By october this year i plan to have the engine running. I know our engines can be repaired but i wanna take one out and drop a new one in and its relativly cheap so im buying an engine with 60,000 miles on it. Series 1.

anyway im wondering if there is anything i should look out for when i get her back on the road. tires will be new, waxing the paint, and service my transmission. other than that i cannot think of anything

im gonna clear them corners too.

how much you getting the motor for? are you installing it? definately do a full tune-up on the new motor.

check those brakes before you get going 70 mph on the highway and you are not able to stop

Pads, rotors....brake lines.. master cylinder and when then car gets running..you pump those brakes 100 times or so before you move the gear selector. Make sure it holds.

Being that it'* sat this long. Drop the trans pan for a filter service.

While the motor is out.. clean the engine bay. Also clean the new motor.

check cv boots for dry rot. Easier to do when engine bay is empty.
