Buying a 1996 Supercharged SLE this weekend
Hi all I'm excited about my purchase of a 1996 Supercharged Bonneville SLE this weekend. The guy was listing it for $5300, but I made a random pitch for $4000 and the guy called me back and accepted my offer...I couldn't believe it! I've done my research and apparently there were only 396 Supercharged SLE'* made in 1996, and this particular one seems to be a great deal@! Here are the details:
100,000 miles
Gold [I guess champaigne] and beige leather interior
Every possible option
2nd Owner [and original buyer was a friend of the present owner]
Mostly lady driven by original owner
Apparently the original owner got every single possible option.
New tires and brakes this year
Car is absolutely mint and runs like new!
Now I'm brainstorming on what to do with the car as soon as I get it....So far I have the following:
Rustproofing
Change oil with Valvoline Synthetic MaxLife
Change Supercharger oil
Flush and fill coolant with GM Dexcool
Remote starter
Check and replace anything else that may need replacing.
So what do you all think? Any suggestions on what I should do?

Awesome.
About the rustproofing, I've heard that it'* much better to use the thinner stuff, unlike the thicker stuff that dealers like to use. The thick stuff apparently can trap in moisture and actually accerate rotting out

I would hit it like Roy Jones Jr.
I am jealous of you. Welcome to the club though. You might want to try some new spark plugs, wires, oil/oil filter change, new air filter (possibly a CAI for some extra power). Have fun with your new Bonnie. Oh, and try to get some pictures of that beast up.
