I've done this before, but not on a Bonne - Try putting 3157'* in the 3057 socket. The plug will usually hit both contacts, so that you get 2 filament lit up for the price of one.

Or, you could bridge the two 3157 contacts with just the tiniest bit of solder, creating one contact for both filaments.

I have a 2,000,000 candle power Q-Beam that probably would do the trick, you might have to fab some brackets though :P

Since 3157 is what we use for brake lights, I really doubt anything'* gonna melt. Besides, how long do you think he'll be in reverse???

Having the tails in pieces as you and I have...I noticed the backup area is small and closed whereas the tails are in a larger open area. Which led to my thoughts about heat.

On the how long will he be in reverse...uh..this is Andrew we are talking about. Never know if he may take a vid of the backup lights etc and have them on for a while.

I suggest getting a set of 15 dollar fog lights at napa or similar and tucking them up under the bumper but far enough back they they will shine out behind the car.
