I have never timed mine but I think the consensus is the SSEi is faster. The SSEi doesn't sound as cool as a V8 with awesome exhaust, however.

The SSEi is faster, really? WOW, I would have never thought that the supercharged would be faster then the V8, guess you learn something everyday. Interesting......

I think an older thread said the SSEi pulls harder due to its torque, and stays ahead until like 85+ mph

Yes, SSEi'* are quicker than GXP'*. It'* about WHERE you want your power. Down low for daily driving, or way up high for freeway passing.

The problem is that the SSEi is already long gone by the time the GXP comes into it'* power, and the GXP (northstar) aftermarket is frustratingly weak. :?
