Default Bought a GXP - all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sold my 2000 SSEI yesterday and purchased a charcoal 05 GXP with just over 26000 miles. All I can say is what a difference in ride and handling. This car is impressive! I spent today just driving around and enjoying the car. It is fantastic! I feel the pricing was fair as I compared the car to others for sale. But it does not matter I got the car I wanted! The price was $19,900 from a GM dealer so the car is certified. Hence it includes a 5 year - 100,000 mile drivetrain, engine, tranny warranty. I think it is fully loaded though not sure if there were other options. It has a moonroof, heated seats, 12 disc cd changer in truck, xm satellite radio, heads up display. Only thing missing where the floor mats so I kept my SSEI ones for now - anyone know a place to get GXP mats at a decent price? Also would you recommend getting the extended warranty? I have about 4 months left on the factory warranty.
Looking forward to many years and miles of fun!

Dean

Welcome to the other side of the Bonneville creek Dean. If It came with the CD changer, it probably has all the bells and whistles. Except for the Cabin Air Filter, which none of us seem to get. The Extended Warranty is a very good idea as R A GXP mentoined. The drive train is ultra expensive to replace, the car has a ton of electronics, And issues like the steering shaft await you.

Congrats, you got a good deal if you got a 2005 for under 20.

Please don't post non-mechanical topics in the Mechanical sections of the Forum.

Moving to General Chat.

Was the filtration system an option?

I found the cover for mine the other day poking around.

I believe those mats on GMPD say "w/o logo" (replaces #12496205)
I would sure like some new GXP mats. Can you still get them at the stealer?
The pewter interior has such dark carpet it almost looks black. Unlike the grey in my
95 which is light grey.
