My friend locked his keys in his Ranger...it was scary because the AAA guy came and while my friend was signing the papers, the guy went over and unlocked the door w/ a slim jim...probably wasn't in the door for a whole 3 seconds. Kinda funny, now we know what he does on the side...

Get rid of the condom in your wallet (you'll never use it anyway
) and replace it with a door key for your car. In a couple seconds you'll be in the car with no potential for damage. That'* what I did after my daughter locked the keys in the trunk (which was full of luggage) while we were on a trip. A call to a locksmith and $50 later I had a new trunk/door key which now lives happily in my wallet.
And this key is pretty much an anti-lock-your-keys-in-the-car condom because I've never unintentionally locked the keys anywhere in the car since. Of course, if I ever leave my wallet in the car for some reason it'* a sure bet I'll lock the car with the other keys in the ignition. Murphy is just waiting for me to slip up.
Unfortunately for ol' Murph I'm such a tightwad that the $50 charge to get a key made has left such an indelible scar on my mental bank account that I'll probably never do that again.
Of course to be effective you need to do this NOW, before you lock your keys in there!
