You have a good point drifter, I think that they are running out of ideas, its about time that they adopt a totally new style. Are there any pontiac mechanics that could possibly give me a price on those rims/tires on the GXP? I think they would look nice on my car this summer
Either way..i think those grills look mean and damn good. Personally what else can u do to those cars for a grill? ..and still make it good. That grill is pontiac..its kinda like bitching about how dodge has their grills ALWAYS split into 4'*...duh!! it'* dodge. Well, this is pontiac.. and it looks damn good, and mean at that. I think every pontiac car being manufactured is somewhat similar, but it gives everyone a chance to pick something that is their taste. I love how they have a bunch of cars for everyone, that are sweet. I don't know why we are complaining...just enjoy the pontiac family.

I went to the NY Auto Show this past Monday and I was pretty tired when I finally got to the Pontiac exhibit. But there she was just like the pictures(only better in person) was the Bonneville GXP. And I could have SWORN(@#$%) that there was a placard in front of the GXP proclaiming that it was featured in one of this past seasons Soprano'* episodes. Has anyone remotely remembered seeing the GXP on the Soprano'*??? I'm gonna have to watch this seasons episodes again when it comes back on HBO.

About the grill design and such, I wana touch on a point.
There are tradition design parameters that designers follow. Lets talk about BMW, if you look at there linup previous to 2002/2003. They all have very similar front ends. Slight nuances and difference but generally, the design is essentially similar. The 3, the 5, the 7 and the X5, all look basically the same from the front.
The traditional 4 headlamp and kidney bean grille is so prevelant. And every single BMW made...EVER, has in the rear window pillar, a design trait called the Hockey Stick. The rear quarter window or whatever its called, has a bend in it, usually changing the window line to vertical, ending perpendicular to the door. No one has ever really questioned BMW'* design until now....but thats another story. Their just revamping and the consumers will adapt evantually
GM is doing the same thing, they look the same...generally, but there are subtle difference to help us realize what car is what....
And the bare *** facts....Bonneville is the Flagship, and it will always be in the Pontiac lineup, it will have design traits like its little brothers and sisters...but we'll always know
OK, I'm done

well 89BonnieSE89, you have a good point, and I guess it is hard for designers to find something original and something that still says PONTIAC when you see it. Dont get me wrong, I would love to have one of those new GXPs, and I think that they look great. In fact, I just got word this afternoon that we might get a 2000 SE in the next two weeks!
