Question Bonneville AC

How hard is it to replace an AC compressor? I have a 2001 ssei and it grinds or squeek/squeels.It does quit for long periods also, and is fine. I noticed some metal filings on the outside. They can be adjusted also cant they? When I turned the air on/off ,it still made the noise. Should the air kick in no matter the temp of the car or outside ? Also someone said the fuel level sensor could be fixed by rubbing the contacts with a pencil eraser . Hows that for a little question? thanks

An ac compressor is freon and 5 bolts/nuts. Not too bad of a job overall. yes they can be adjusted with a special tool. There is a write up in the techinfo section on adjusting them.

Sorry to say, but your fuel gauge isn't going to be fixed with an eraser. Most likely the fingers that ride the resistor are broken off and you need a new piece. IIRC its about $40 and then it'* an easy fix.
