Default sadly not

no spin at all. actually i think if it would have spun it would have saved it. but yesterday i felt a little grind into 3rd gear... but i just pulled out and gave it a little gas and head a loud pop and my dad walked over and handed me a gear and said son. i dont think is is too good. and pulled me back into the drive way. and looked under and it blew the whole thing out. but no i wasnt even spinning.

I'll bet any money your pinion shaft retaining pin failed allowing the shaft itself to move/wear out awkwardly, hence a side/pinion gear shooting through your extension housing on the trany (passenger side outter)
Comon failure on any open style differential.

If you have 195K on the tranny you did well. Either spring for a rebuild or buy another car.
