Default Body Work on 89SE

Hey everyone

I need some opinions here. As you may or may not have read in my sig, I want to repaint and clearcoat my car. I'm also looking into getting 2 rust spots fixed. So far the qoutes that I have gotten range in the vicinity of $3500 to $4200

I have hotlinked my Yahoo folder, have a look and lemme know what you think...

Should I fix these little blemishes, or let it go?

Or even better...please post some suggestions on what I might be able to do...I'm sure some of you have had some experience in fixing this little body issues.

Thanks BC...I look forward to reading what you have to say [/url]

The answer to that question is ultimately do you like your car and do you plan on keeping it. For that kind of money you could get yourself a newer Bonneville, but the car your driving currently is an extention of your personallity. If you like the car and wanna keep it then I say go for it. Personally I would drive it just the way it is and save that kind of money for some serious modifications.

i agree thats a lot of money to put into your car. money that probably wont increase the value of your car by that much. i have the luxury of being able to do my own body and paint and i can tell you that to do a HIGH QUALITY JOB ......$3500 is not that unreasonable. it cost me almost $700 in materials to paint my pickup. high quality paint is EXPENSIVE. ADD THE LABOR OF THE BODY WORK AND DISASSEMBLY TO DO IT RIGHT........$$$
