Default Headlights............... ???

Hey,

I am gonna replace my headlght bulbs in my car. I just wanted to know what everyone thinks are the best one'* out there. I've heard that Silverstar was the best way to go. But I am also curious about the other colors available. I've seen the Cool Blue bulbs, green bulbs, and even purple......yeah purple !!! I don't know about the purple though. Does anyone have any purple lights in their car. I think they would actually come out sort of pink. Well let me know.

I went with the Cool blues, not actually blue at all, its just a lens filter that clears up the yellow tinge. The Silverstars and afternarket xenon discharge lamps are illegal in CAN. If you are in the States, I'd pick the SilverStars.

Alot depends on whether you want to be pulled over or not. Most of the aftermarket bulbs aren't legal for street use. If you want to stay safe, go with the Cool Blues or the Silver stars. Basically the stars cost more for the whiter light. The more you spend, the better you get.

I have silver stars in the lows, cool blues in the highs. My high beams will be replaced with silver stars. Vastly superior, but the cool blues are also superior to the stock lamps.

If your budget allows, go with the Silver Stars.

I use GE High Output lights on all my cars. It produces a brighter whiter light w/o the obvous blue tint that attracts attention, unless that is what you want. They are fairly cheap, like $12 for 2 at walmart. Make a difference over stock.
