the black book is what dealerships and banks use to determine prices and loans.
Noone really uses the blue book anymore unless they are a personal seller.

Black Book is a relatively new book that is actually LOWERING the value of used cars for dealers. It is used in some auctions these days. In my opinion, its a way for dealers to offer you a lower price on a trade ("Oh, well that is what it says in my black book....")

The website is www.blackbookusa.com

Go to nada.com, that is what my company uses to determine value of the vehicles we insure.

I was gonna say 4 stars, since that'* the only black book I've ever heard of. Never knew about the car one. I learned something (but what did it push out?)

The " Blackbook" has been around for 30years or more its not a new book to judge prices by ....been used by auto dealers for longer than some of our youngin`* here have been alive....its a price base they use ,,,,,,, never really went by the book ....go to used car lots see if any other car like yours is for sale ...look in the forsale ads in local paper and that way you can get a good idea of your selling price.....if you have mods it`ll be higher....get an appraisel...it really helps with that and if you get in a accident and you have a appraisel which insurance companys know is a good trustworthy one ....you`ll get your full appraisel price from them ...not the oh its a 93 SSE and give you the industry book price....trust me on this one it works

The Black Book value is also known as the ABV or Average Book Value. It'* a very cut and dry book that indicates what a dealer'* value of a vehicle is...dependant on mileage and trim level.
