My dad who is a oil rig move supervisor has hit doezens of birds with his pickup, a few are quite capable of making one heck of a mess. Like said above, better bird than deer or moose.

Back when my Dad had a Chevy truck, I was toooling around on the interstate, doing about 85mph, and flew straight through an entire flock of starlings! When I got out to check the damage there was blood and gore everywhere, and there were about four of them stuck in the grille I say "about four" because it was a little hard to tell, there may have been more.
