Boosty'* PM didn't specify PART or ALL of the subframe. It CAN be removed with one side of the subframe removed, not all has to.
Boosty is on crack, not me.
Most shops will drop the whole subframe to do this.

That side of the subframe is appropriate for removing the trans out the side or out the bottom.
It'* more convenient and simpler to drop the entire subframe rather than seperate the two halves, particularly if it'* on a lift.
