Autoenginuity ALL THE WAY!!!!! This is going to be my very next purchase for my car. I have spent many hours just searching scan tools on the net and haven't found anything close in the price range(been searchin since I bought my car last August). There is a guy at my local NAPA with an '01 Lightning, he didn't believe I knew of a tool that did so much for so little. He was sold before he finished reading the Autoenginuity web page.

Well I placed my order yesterday afternoon. I have to call them back today because the person I was talking with over email was not in. I got a rather good discount on my purchase! Well, atleast I will once the sales people can get ahold of the guy I was talking with.

One of the features that sold me on this purchase was the bi-directional control that it offers. You can command various sensors/actuators to certain positions and verify that they actually go there. You may not be able to create a dashboard like you can in an Autotap, but after looking at the video that they have up on their site, I think I'm really going to like the interface. Haven't looked into their dyno-esque software package yet though.

AutoEnginuity coverage is very wrong and does not cover what they say it will.

For example,I had a 1996 Monte Carlo with engine code (M) and forth Vin (W).

AE site says it will support ABS and Airbags.

I hooked up AE to my car and it showed nothing on them, after sending emails to support I was basically told I was sol.

I paid $500 for AE with the Enhanced GM Module specifically for the features THEY SAID they supported.

I would steer away from AE if I were you.
