YOWSAS! You *definitely* should look into a '99 for 2k! I paid almost 4x that much for my '99 less than a year ago, and I got a good deal! On the other hand, perhaps it is priced that low because there is some major problem not disclosed in that ad. Let us know what you find out... and of course I have to plug the forums at Aurora Club of North America if you want more detailed info.

that'* only on the 1995 Model year. the 96-99 don't have that problem. Sucks that they got that reputation for that one model year though. basically I would check to make sure the engine is still strong, and transmission. They're reliable though so you shouldn't have too many problems. The Fuel Pressure regulator is a common problem to go bad too, but it is not too expensive to fix. Make sure the car starts ok without saying "clean key, wait 3 minutes" on the DIC because it'* common for the ignition switch to go bad making the car unstartable using the key. the ABS control module also is a common problem but it will not stop you from driving the car. All in all they're reliable trust worthy cars just make sure nothing is majorly wrong with it before buying.
Hmm...I looked at 98 not too long ago and the entire under carriage had a nice coating of "weatherproofing" if you know what I'm saying! It only had 90K on it, too.

Looks like it is decently well optioned, considering there were only like 6 options that the 95-99 had. From what I remember they were:
Sunroof
Memory seats
Heated seats
Chrome Wheels
Gold Package
Trip Computer

Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

You're almost right... most the the Auroras were very much the same. Another option was the "Autobahn" package, which is overall a faster car (mine has it ). Consists of better gearing, ~140mph top speed instead of the 108mph limiter on all other models, and V-rated tires. The only way you'll know if the Aurora has it is by checking the RPO codes, under the spare tire cover in the trunk. Look for QQX, which is the code for V-rated tires.
