the 98 trans appears to be different from the 97 and the 99s. I'm looking for anyone with a 98SSEi, 98 Park Avenue, or a 98 LSS-SC to post a picture of their trans tag so i can compare it to mine. I have a feeling the wrong trans may be in my car right now and I want to compare. The dealer was NOT helpful at all and wanted a full hour of labor to look it up for me.
So yeah, anyone with a 98 L67 car excluding GPs if you get a chance post your trans tag! Its underneath.

I believe since 97 was the first year of the 65 showing up in L67 powered Bonne'* that the big reason behind that is the updates. IIRC the valvebody etc that was updated on my trans was called a 98-03. Meanwhile there were more updates made in the 00-03 timeframe.

Your output shaft to the diff itself is different in the 1998 model year, this will change a few characters on your Transmission Tag, quite sure of that..
