Default Angel Eyes Suck

I'm on my 2nd pair right now... the first ones cracked and then the "halos" stopped working on one side, so they were replaced under warranty.

I took a look at my other ones (just a few months old) and already both are cracked and there is water, lots, in both of them.

Ugh, I'm not sure if I'm going to get another pair if/when these fail, but if I do, I'll be sealing it up pretty damn tight.

Merlin have you determined what is causing them to crack? I would think following too closely and taking a rock to the light is probably the culprit.

Unless they are cracking somewhere besides the lense?

Im on my second set aswell, one of my lamps was cracked by what i beleive to be road debris,I was going to go with a different brand of angeleye ,but since i still had one good lamp from the first set it only made sense to get the same ones, now I have a spare replacment. Im looking for some sort of a protective film to help protect my new set .

Protective film might be found looking for ATV type products. Rocks and things are a real problem and there are a few aftermarket films for headlights.

On the relay, if you want mine you can have it. I wired to the old fog switch and it works great.

I'm not sure what'* causing the glass to crack..... I thought my first cracked pair was due to rocks and such, but this time by looking at my front bumper (and the lack of pits and such since the last time I touched it up.... I'm not sure.

It 'could' be heat from the bulbs..... but to be honest with you, I run the "halo" effect 99.99% of the time... the ONLY time I turn on my fogs is if I'm on the highway and it'* foggy, and I can think of only two or three times I've done that this year.

It could be the freezing temps too..... I sometimes keep the car underground in the garage, and going from -20c to 15c could break the cheap glass.

Thinking about the drain hole in the Angel Eyes again, I'm not sure there is a drain hole...... anyone know for sure? I'd run out and check, but my car'* still at the shop.

First set here. My relay is in a safe spot, and i don't use the halos much, only when it'* absolutley necessary to pimp it.

Merlin you're subjected to extreme weather, when do you think it happened?

Seth, i remember when we looked at your relay it was full of water/gunk. maybe a plastic bag, or differen't spot is needed?
