Default Amsoil Vs. Mobil1, I need advice!!

Please help me with my issue. I want to buy the best synthetic oil I can get my hands on. I am torn between Mobil 1 and Amsoil. Money is no object when it comes to me getting the best protection for my engine. Please help?

Mobil1. They have a far bigger R&D budget than Amsoil ever will. They are the petroleum experts.

i say amsoil, mobil1 is a big corporation that may have a big *** r&d budget but it all boils down to the fact that they want the max profit out of their product and they will cheat on the quality to do so, where as amsoil is a small company that actually cares about the quality of their products vs the profit.

thats my 2c :P

i have ran quaker state products in my car always, just recently had the top end apart, it was VERY clean, regualr changes help, and are most important in my mind.
I will be switching however to mobil 1 once im running again.

Dark...Let'* take it easy on the inappropriate name calling. It'* the holidays remember...

I've used Amsoil products and been happy, I've only used Mobil 1 or regular oil in my cars, never tried Castrol Syn. My understanding is this, they are all very close and very good. Way above the standards required by GM for oil.

I would aim toward Mobil 1 (not the 15,000 mile) fully syn and run with that. But that'* because I have used it and know the quality they are producing.
