dont the obd 1.5s have obd1 software? isnt that why some scan tools dont work? i wonder if the scan gauge would be the same?

Not sure the 2k works like the 96-99? I'm not aeroforce-savvy, but Mattski (red deer matt) has one coming down in his 97 too. Pdad also has one. Travis as well, IIRC.

There should be plenty to play with.

Remember there are two different protocols as far as the gages go. CAN-enabled gages will not work with the pre-CAN OBD2 systems, and vice-versa.
