Default AC Delco Oil Filters are Back at Wall Mart!!!

I'm down in Ames, IA for business and I stopped in at a new Wall Mart that opened yesterday. As I walked past the oil filters I looked down and there they were , genuine AC Delco Duraguard for $3.28. When did they start carying AC Delco again? They also had some MOPAR filters. Only one #47 left on their shelf now .

Why the 52'*? I thought the PF-47'* were the right ones for our cars. I'm still here in Ames in a hotel. I can always stop back tomorrow.

47'* are the standard replacement, but 52'* fit, and are slightly larger for better filtration.

i would take note to where the filter ends up though, if you get the 52.

on my 92s, the 52s are above the frame level and work flawless. on my 97, the filter plate on the s2 is a little different, and the 52 hangs lower than id like. not likely for anything to hit it, but possible.

I haven't seen AC Delco filters at our wal-mart, but i've seen them at ones in nearby cities. I have seen K&N air filters there, but for oil filters, all i've seen are fram. i think it depends on how big the store is

so when they changed the body stylein 00, they changed the oil filter plate as well then? yours doesn't hang below the frame, or oil pan?

If it hangs below the frame it does it by a very little. Just a little bit of research... The 52 is 4.94" long and the 47 is only 3.36".
