Default 97 SSEi value

Considering selling my 97 SSEI as it is not large enough to carry my entire family. Wife and four kids do not fit. Not sure how much it would be worth. It has 385,000km on the body but only 70,000km on the engine and tranny. car is near mint inside and out with only one spot on drivers seat where seam is starting to let go. Car is white with brown leather interior, engine is from a 98 Park Avenue Ultra with a 3.4inch pulley and some head work a little over 15,000km ago. Dan

Why did you're engine fail? Did you just put the new powerplant in? 385,000~ 240,000. Thats a lot for 97'! I'd say $4,000. Even though the car has high miles, these engines last forever. Even 385K is nothin' for this engine. I've just never heard of an S2 L67 failing before and wonder how yours did.

There is a 1997 SSEi near me with 197,000 miles (approx. 320,000 KMs) and they've been trying to sell it for 2 months at $3900 US and they aren't getting any takers.
While it has it'* plus sides (it'* a 40th anniversary Edition with the rare Gold Package) it also is showing it'* age -paint is getting some heavy swirls and scratches, tires look to have been needing replacements over 10k ago), drivers seat, steering wheel, and pedals are showing the wear.

I'd suggest you start out around $4200 CAD, but be prepared to drop to $3300-3500 in 2 weeks if it hasn't sold.

Good luck with the sale.

Engine didn't fail it was removed to be installed into a Fiero that is how I came by the car. I put the engine into a Fiero for the previous owner then bought the rest of the car off him and put in a lower mileage engine I had.
If that is all it is worth than I will keep it as an extra car and drive her myself. Dan
