I'm keeping my fingers crossed it stays like it is

Today, my brother and I replaced the front strut mounts....being 20 yrs old, they gave out... rubber tore loose...

we took a racheting tie down while spring was compressed, hooked into spring, and around bottom of strut..jacked up car.... removed nut at top of strut....and had enough room to swap out mounts...took 40 minutes

then we took off calipers and hooked up his new toy, on car brake lathe, turned the rotors on the car...so hub/rotor match....pretty cool, will see if they last longer doing it that way...

so got alot done today

Lovely car, I had a '97 88 that was Royal Blue. Keep an eagle eye on the coolant reservoir for any water level changes. The intake/egr situation cost me a new engine.

i've noticed tcc lock up is getting harsh again, like it is simply dumping it into gear sometimes, usually 3rd gear tcc

its been 4-5 k miles since I cleared shift patterns/computer

I'm resetting again....see if it last another 4-5k before dump into tcc happens again

I just had a random thought. It might not be a bad idea to check all engine/transmission mounts too, just to make sure those are all in good shape. Those can cause some funny behaviors, including what may feel like harsh TCC engagement or hard shifting, because the drivetrain is flopping around with the torque changing.
