'94 Bonneville Title
Can I sell my '94 Bonne that I bought from the dealer 13 years ago WITH OUT the banks title? I am the registered owner and the car is still registered in Arizona in my name. Or, do I need to part it out?
I'll give the gory details if needed.

The details are probably necessary here. If a bank was holding the title, the bank is obliged to release the lien and return the title to the registered owner when their loan is paid off. If everything has been done legally, you can work with the state to obtain a replacement title, but in some states this can be a very tedious process. You will find it difficult to get rid of what remains after you part it out without a title.

I learned last summer that if the vehicle originally had a loan when new and if the vehicle is more than 10 years old, that the Secretary of State automatically assumes the loan was paid off. Otherwise, the vehicle would have been repossessed.
So, on that 1994, did you acquire the vehicle from the original owner? And, do you have the title which shows the bank as the first secured intrerest? You may be OK. But, check with your DMV to verify the details.
