after doing some recearch it seems there is a start enable relay which would be easily bypassed by either pulling out the relay and jumpering the load two load side wires of the socket or cutting the wire to the tdm and ground it but that would leave a relay to fail on you at some future point.

I told him I just bought the battery in January, he said the pump is working cause he tested it and he can hear it pumping. My mechanic says it still will not start, I'm lost I don't know what to do. He thinks it'* an electrical problem, one day I was not able to drive my car for two days because of the security light but that was last year in the summer. Can someone please Help me.

Thhis is along shot but could it be the ignition module going bad. I know when Mine was bad in my 1992 it would crank and not fire but sometimes it would start but run like crap and I had to keep the pedal down to get it going maybe the module or faulty coild packs. I have never heard of two coil packs going wrong but who knows. did you check thos compnenets. Does it smoke when it runs??

I don't think throwing in a $300 system to correct something entirely different is going to fix this. If it truely is VATS related, then he would only need a 10 cent resistor from Radio Shack and a soldering iron. Much cheaper and easier than an addon that could cause other issues down the road.

The wiring diagram of the TDM connector is the following:

--------------------------------------------------
A1 ORN constant hot
A2 PNK hot in run, bulb test, or park
A3 DK BLU fuel enable signal (to pcm)
A4 YEL/BLK starter enable relay control
A5 GRY security indicator enable control
A6
A7
A8
--------------------------------------------------
B1
B2
B3
B4
B5 BLK ground
B6
B7 PPL/WHT ignition pellet return
B8 WHT/BLK ignition pellet feed
--------------------------------------------------

Some other pins could be also connected, but you don't need to care about them.

this is closest pinout of the tdm i could find for some reason. its a 95 lesabre. also read location is under the dash and and cant be gotten to without taking out the dash, maybe someone with the gm manual can find the wire color and pin at the pcm, i cant find it on the internet
