5.3L instead of a 3800 for 05? link updated

I'm glad it's a Gen III v8 and all, but it's friggun FWD. PDad, can you confirm the 4t-65e tranny? I'm sorry but if it's not the 4t-80 it's gonna have issues majorly. It has been "confirmed" that the Bonnie will be RWD in 08 or so when it's redone. Great question, I'll check..........why didnt I think to look? :roll: Its a 4t65E-HD with tap shift, no other upgrades....interesting? Also the brakes are the same as the 04 gtp. Doesnt make sense when the GXP got the 4t-80 and 13" brakes? I hope that 4 cylinder mode doesnt kick in to save the tranny? That would be a waste :evil:

Great question, I'll check..........why didnt I think to look?

According to Motor Trend, the Bonny will be on the RWD Zeta platform in '08.

zeta? what is this? RWD bonnie is what i've been waiting for, my thunderbird buddy has always had an advantage in that area. BTW, is anyone else of the opinion that DoD is just one more thing that can break? i think i'd rather have a full-time v8...
