Default 3800 series ii intake manifold white bent tube

So I am replacing the gaskets on this (in)famous manifold(the improved ERG version was replaced years ago), putting it all back together, but I can't figure out what the deal is on this white plastic tube.

It clips right down the center of the upper gasket(legnth-wise on the plenum side) and wasn't connected to anything (that I could tell) on either end.

I have search all over the web and have seen the question asked but never answered. My new kit didn't include it, and I can't find the part anywhere. I checked that awsome exploded veiw of the 3800 posted by Danrod963 a few years back, but it doesn't appear there either. Definitely no mention in the manual.

Can anyone tell me:

Which direction it turns or what'* it connect to

What is it called(so that I might find a new one)

Thanks in advance,

Ric

Don't know if this helps. Though I mentioned the tube is white(translucent) this one is carbon stained and is more of a black.

The tube sits in clips in the gasket. Stick the shorter end of the L of the tube up at the passenger end of the manifold. It'* purpose is to bring the oil vapor from the PCV (at the passenger end of the manifold) into the middle of the LIM so it doesn't deposit it all in one area. Doesn't really do much beyond sit there and is clipped onto the gasket.

Wow, thanks Billboost, that was fast.

So as I mentioned I didn't get a new one with the kit and I question the durability of this one, seeing it'* around 7 or 8 years old. It doesn't appear to be deteriorated but you never know.

Any idea what this is called? I'd like to find a new one. I'm thinking it could do some damage if it ever gave way and fell into the LIM.
