Well, as for the 350 = 3800-2cyl'*, it'* not true. The 4.3 V6 was the closest to the 5.7. Basicly: 5700 CC / 8 = 712.5cc/cyl, and 4300 cc/6 = 716.66cc/cyl. Of course, those numbers are approximations.

As for the 90V6 being one of the best motors, I would agree, but I would also have to say that the 660 (2.8/3.1/3X00'*) are also bulletproof.

He was referencing 350 HORSEPOWER. Not 350 cubic inches. The 3.8 is NOT a 350 with 2 cylinders chopped.

We have the luxury of not having head gasket problems like the drivetrains you listed, as well. And our engines have a long history of dependability, longevity, and performance from the factory.

Will, I believe that we both have Valid points here. I'm quite aware that the 3800 series engines are capable of handling 350+ hp, as is any motor with the proper modifications.

And thank you for solidifying my point about the 350 not being the same as a 3.8.

Actually, we have an SSEi here in the 600hp range running 11.459 @ 117.48mph. And this isn't the only 600hp 3800 around, either. One of the others became the only FWD car to break the 200mph barrier......guess where?
